Running the model…
Repeats the evacuation many times with realistic spread in human reaction, boarding, friction, crew mass and wind (up to 34 knots from any direction). The 95th-percentile time is the number to design to.
Every layout from 1 to 6 wires and 1 to 6 pods per wire. Series = more pods on one wire, released one after another. Parallel = more wires. Cells show time until everyone is safe; outlined cells are the best time for their cost.
Each input moved 20% down and up while the others stay fixed. Long bars are where design effort pays off.
Load runs from the tabletop slidewire (CSV with columns run, wire_length_m, drop_m, mass_kg, time_s, notes). The model fits rolling resistance μ and drag area to the measured times, then compares prediction with measurement.
